Browsing is also cleaner: machines now have dedicated detail pages, buying buttons stay visible, and search results are paginated with brands mixed fairly.

Linux Machines featured in episode 92 of Linux Matters, released on 13 October. Alan talked about the site and finding computers for Linux. Listen to the episode below.

Lenovo, NovaCustom and MNT Research join the catalogue

Added five Lenovo families: ThinkPad P14s and T14 Gen 7 laptops, the ThinkCentre M90q Gen 6 mini PC and ThinkStation P3 Tower Gen 2. They document Linux options; regional Linux configurations remain unverified.

NovaCustom brings eight listings, covering V54/V56 laptops, NUC Box mini PCs, and PrivacyGuard and SecurityTitan editions with their own supplied operating systems.

MNT Research adds Reform and Pocket Reform with Debian and documented processor-module choices. The listings explain the differences in suspend support and firmware requirements.

Juno joins with laptops, compact desktops and tablets

Added 14 computers from Juno’s UK range: nine laptops, three compact desktops and two tablets.

The first hardware details cover Gemini 16 AMD, Brutus AI and Tab 4 Wi-Fi. Other models were initially listed with links to Juno while their hardware details awaited review.

Expanded Framework coverage, from laptops to desktops

Expanded Framework coverage to 20 computer listings from its UK catalogue, including DIY and prebuilt editions and a factory-seconds laptop kit.

Nineteen editions have reviewed hardware details. The listings distinguish supplied operating systems and DIY choices; the factory-seconds kit’s hardware remains unconfirmed. Framework certification results also gained a marketplace Shop button.
